(Back to ISIBA update post 1 here) …the Executive Management of ISHIBA Development and Empowerment Centre distances herself from the indiscriminate collection of money from members across the 36 States and FCT.
It is worthy of note that the #500 fee been collected from participants in some states of the federation is real, a decision known to the organizer of the grant program (ISHIBA).
According to a statement signed by the Chairman, National Monitoring and Evaluation Committee on 4th November 2020, it was categorically stated that not all states should embark on the verification exercise butt rather the following states: FCT office, Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Benue, Edo, Enugu, Imo, Kaduna, Kano, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Ogun and Oyo States.
According to the signed letter; “It is very pertinent to bring to your notice that some of the States collated incomplete data during the registration process in their respective States that resulted in the exclusion of Bank Account details of potential members which have become necessary for participation in grants that may be approved for the Organization.”
“Sequel to this development, and after several meetings on all Executive platforms, and a plea from the various State Coordinators and State Executives of the affected States, approval was granted to the following affected States to contact potential members and do a verification exercise so as to allow them to update their information with a maximum token of Five Hundred Naira Only, to cover for the fresh expenses they incurred and nothing more.”
The State Monitoring Team of the affected States were mandated to ensure effective compliance and prosecute defaulters.
The general public is therefore warned not lose resources to people who may want to defraud an individual in disguise of verification or replacing one with others.
Also all participants are implored to do all that is necessary to update their bank details with representatives of the NGO and thereafter await further details
ALL HOPE IS HIGH!!!
