EMMACOED has ruled out examination misconduct/offences for students of the institution, the returning students, and prospective candidates that wish to secure admission to the school.

Though the school management is yet to issue out admission processes for the prospective students that sat for the year 2020 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Exam.

HERE ARE THE RULES:

S/NEXAMINATION MISCONDUCTS AND OTHER RELATED OFFENCESACTION TO BE TAKENPUNISHMENT AND SANCTIONS
ALateness to the Examination Venue  
i30 minutes after the commencement of a paper irrespective of the number of hours allowed for the paper.To be disallowed from writing the paper. A written report shall be submitted by the invigilator which must be countersigned by the Chief Invigilator.To repeat the course at the next available opportunity.
BCommunication Between/Among Students  
i.Oral/Written request for assistance from other student (e.g. borrowing a pencil, ruler, calculator and other materials)Verbal warning(i) Invigilator(s) shall use       his/her discretion to isolate, relocate, or swap offenders’ positions.
iiWriting solution/answer on the question paper and passing same to another studentFilling of form 001, with evidence attached(i) Cancellation of the paper (ii) The offender(s) shall      be referred to the Directorate of Counselling Services for counselling and behaviour modification. (iii) He/She shall get a  written clearance from the Directorate of       Counselling Services.    
CJottings  
 a.    Jottings on question paper b.    Jottings on the palm c.    Jottings on a piece of paper d.    Jottings on a clearance card or payment receipt e.    Jottings on ruler f.     Jottings on a handkerchief or other materials g.    Jottings on the lap/thighFilling of form 001, with evidence attached(i) Cancellation of the paper (ii) The offender(s) shall be referred to the Directorate of       Counselling Services for counselling and behaviour modification. (iii) He/she shall get a  written clearance from the Directorate of       Counselling Services.
DPossession of Illegal Materials in Examination Venue  
iPossession  of materials not relevant to the course(s) being examinedVerbal warningMaterial(s) shall be collected and relocate the offender(s)
iiPossession of materials relevant to the course(s) being examined e.g lecture note, handbooks, textbooks etc.Filling of form 001, with evidence attached.(i) Suspension for one (1)     Academic semester (ii) The offender(s) shall be referred to the Directorate of      Counselling Services      for counselling and      behaviour modification. (iii) He/She shall get a written clearance from the Directorate of       Counselling Services.
iiiCheating in more than one course during a semester’s examinationFilling of form 001, with evidence attached.(i) Suspension for one (1)     Academic session (ii) The offender(s) shall be referred to the Directorate of      Counselling Services for counselling and behaviour modification. (iii) He/She shall get a  written clearance from the Directorate of      Counselling Services.
EImpersonation  
iA student of the College writing examination for another College studentFilling of form 001, with evidence attached(i) Suspension of the culprits for three consecutive semesters (ii) The offender(s) shall be referred to the Directorate of      Counselling services for Counselling and behaviour modification. (iii) He/She shall get a written clearance from the Directorate of      Counselling Services.
iiA student of the College writing examination for another College student without the latter’s consent.Filling of form 001, with evidence attached.(i) Exoneration of the impersonated student. (ii) Suspension of  impersonator for one (1) Academic      Session. (iii) He/She shall get a      written clearance from      the Directorate of      Counselling Services.
iiiA non-student of the College writing examination for a College studentFilling form 001, with evidence attached.(i) Suspension of the     College student for     Three (3) consecutive     semesters (ii) He/She shall      be referred to the      Directorate of      Counselling Services      for counselling and      behaviour modification. (iii) He/She shall get a      written clearance from      the Directorate of      Counselling Services. (iv) Thereafter, the non       student shall be        referred to the       appropriate authority       for further Investigation       and punishment.
ivA student of the College using the I.D card or fee clearance card or receipt(s) of another student in writing examinationFilling of form 001, with evidence attached.(i)  Suspension for three (3)      consecutive semesters (ii) If stealing is      established, sanction for      stealing (expulsion)      shall be applied. (iii) If conspiracy is      established, the two      culprits shall be      punished (as in (i)       above). (iv) The offender(s) shall       be referred to the       Directorate of       Counselling Services       for counselling and      behaviour modification. (v) He/She shall get a       written clearance from       the Directorate       of  Counselling Services.
vForging of examination permit Identity CardFilling of form 001, with evidence attachedExpulsion
viStealing of permit cardsFilling of form 001, with evidence attached(i) Suspension for Two (2)      Academic Sessions (ii) Offender(s) shall      be referred to the      Directorate of      Counselling Services      for counselling and      behaviour modification. (iii) He/She shall get a       written clearance from       the Directorate of       Counselling Services.
